In Memory of Fr Kieran O’Mahony OSA
The death took place of Fr Kieran O’Mahony OSA after a period of illness. Kieran was a keynote speaker at our Annual Conference in 2024.
He was a gifted scripture scholar who traveled and taught all over Ireland. He specialised in the writings of St Paul.
He was immersed in History, Liturgy, Music, Archaeology. As a lecturer he was able to speak and teach with clarity. He was able to connect Scripture to life, politics and current affairs. The past came alive through Kieran in his teaching and writing.
Our ways are not Gods way. He lived well and died well. He was a gift the whole Church in Ireland and beyond.
He will be greatly missed by his Confrères in the Augustinian Community. A true ecumenist and follower of the Gospel. May he rest in peace.
