AMRI World Youth Day Pilgrims – Pilgrimage in the City

On Saturday 15th April many of the pilgrims going to World Youth Day in Lisbon gathered for a preparation day. With just over three months left to WYD walked as pilgrims around seven Churches in the city. Some leaders from various congregations were also present including the Spiritans, Salesians, Daughters of Charity and Holy Faith

Starting at the Capuchin Church on Church Street they prayed, reflected and got to know each other better. The walk included reflections on the Road to Emmaus and the synodal vision of walking together. Other stops included the John’s Lane – Augustinian, ChristChurch Cathedral, Whitefriar St – Carmelites, Dominic St Priory, Gardiner St – Jesuit and Sean Mc Dermott Street Church – Salesian. There was lots of spontaneous input, including an amazing talk in Whitefriar St with Fr Sean. The group concluded in Sean Mc Demott Street with Fr Cyril -SDB hosted the group with hospitality. Fr Peter Ewaoche Johnson presided at mass with some of our other priests.Watch Here
