Important Information to Pilgrims Travelling to WYD from Ireland
As you prepare for your meeting with the Portuguese Embassy the following information is important to recall.

AMRI has also been advised there have been issues with some of the applications received, chiefly that some of the applicants were unable to produce the necessary documents for the visa requests to be processed. These are clearly indicated in the Government website (please see https://vistos.mne.gov.pt/en/short-stay-visas-schengen/required-documentation/short-stay-visa ) and producing them is a pre-condition to be able to refer the application to Lisbon for a decision.

Furthermore, some of the applicants have presented GNIB cards/Irish Residence Permits that are due to expire before the travel date to Portugal. Kindly note that these cannot be accepted, as the law requires the GNIB card to be valid for at least a further 60 days from the return date to Ireland.
