The Association of Leaders of Missionary and Religious of Ireland, (AMRI) offers sincere condolences on the death of Brother Kevin Crowley OFM Cap. He devoted his life to work with the poor, transforming lives and offering hope to all those who he encountered and welcomed into the Capuchin Day Centre, Church Street. From its humble beginnings it has become a place where the poorest of the poor and those who are down on their luck receive kindness, food, warmth and support.
Brother Kevin lived the Gospel by recognising God in the those he met. His policy of reaching out and asking no personal questions meant that people of all faiths benefited from this service of hospitality. He inspired many people to volunteer, donate and assist the vision of reaching out to the poor and homeless.
AMRI would like to offer our prayers to Brother Kevin’s Capuchin Family and his family in Cork. May he rest in peace.
