Report from the Annual AMRI Conference and AGM
From the 30 September to 1st October in the region of 200 delegates from many religious congregations and association attended the AMRI annual conference. Navigating Religious Life into the 20th Century was the theme.
Sr Pat Murry CJ reflected on Setting the Scene of Religious Life today – wider context and trends. Sr Mary Barron OLA also reflected on Missionary Disciples in a Changing . Judith King (Facilitator) expertly handled groups conversions and feedback. Delegates also hear from a panel of speakers reflecting on Navigating Religious Life into the 21st Century- keeping hope alive where they talked to this question of religious who are still active in ministry today. Sr Bernie O Grady RSM, Fr Cyril Odea SDB, and Sr Marie Fahy Glencairn took part in the session. Throughout the day there was time for breaks, food, and opportunities to meet and visit various exhibitors. The formal AGM took place on October 1st and was opened by Fr Joe Mc Gee as President and also an address by Secretary General Gerard Gallagher. Various updates and topics were presented. At the end five new congregations were invited to join AMRI.

- Dominican Sisters of St Cecilia – Full Member
- RSM Mercy – Full Member
- Koinonia John the Baptist – Full Member
- Ursulines of Mary Immaculate (UMI) – Associate Member
- Jesus Youth Associate Member
