AMRI, along with other faith-based organisations* recently signed a letter addressed to the Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), Mr. Gabriel Makhlouf, seeking an end to the approval of the Israeli Bond programme. The Bonds are openly marketed as ‘war’ bonds by the Israeli Development Company, which is based in the US. The CBI, in approving the Israeli Bond Programme, are facilitating the means for the widespread violence that is taking place in Gaza.
On Tuesday, 8th July at a demonstration held outside the Central Bank, this letter was delivered to the Governor, which was accepted by the Head of Operations. To read the response from the Governor, please click HERE
